Something for Everyone: IntuiFace’s Usability Overhaul and New iPad Support

This is a Guest Blog Post by

We have just released IntuiFace Version 4.3, bucking the trend of staying away from publishing new software editions in December. We are just too passionate about this release and the advantages it gives our customers. Plus our pricing promotion continues to run through the end of the year so it’s a good time to get on board.

The advantage of our Player for iPad is obvious - RUN YOUR EXPERIENCES ON THE IPAD! This is momentous because, look around. IntuiFace is the first product on the market to enable non-developers to create not just simple slideshows but fully expressive experiences using their own media and designs on the iPad. Arguably this is over a year in the making because of our constant attention to the evolving HTML5 standard.

Apple is validating Player for iPad right now which means we can’t say for sure when it’ll get into the AppStore but it should be ready any day now, as early as tomorrow.

Then there is the IntuiFace platform itself. We have added 75+ new features and enhancements all in the name of improved usability and productivity. It all started with some usability studies we performed, inviting folks to our offices and watching them work. We learned quite a bit and Version 4.3 is a direct result. Obviously I can’t list all the changes but here are highlights:

  • Multi-selection of items for alignment, distribution, grouping, bulk editing and more common functions like copy, cut, move and delete.
  • Brand new Triggers and Actions panel, making it much easier to adopt and leverage our unique When X Happens Then Do Y capability.
  • Design Lock feature for designers who don’t want others using Composer to make changes.
  • Tons of new quick access and quick view options, all designed to help you work faster and more efficiently.

Plus resource consumption improvements that have resulted in lower memory footprints and a 30% to 75% improvement in Player and Composer Play Mode performance.

For a more complete list of everything we’ve done - both in this release and over the past year - check out our Version History page.

What’s awesome is that everything in this release applies to all editions of IntuiFace Composer, even the Free Edition. So get your hands on the latest version and use what is easily the best interactive experience creation tool on the planet.
